We measure custom pins based on the longest side of your design. Whether it’s a subtle 1" accent or a bold 2" statement piece, our 3mm acrylic adds premium depth to every silhouette.
- The Golden Ratio: 1" to 1.25" is the industry standard for lapel pins. 1.5" and above works best for detailed illustrations on bags and denim jackets.
- Hardware Placement: Ensure your design has at least a 10mm solid area to accommodate the pin post and clutch.
- Safety Margins: Keep vital artwork details 2–3mm inside the cutline to ensure a clean, perfectly centered contour.
- Double Posts: For sizes over 1.75", we recommend double posts to prevent the pin from spinning when worn.
Pin Artwork & Dieline Rules
Follow these artist-grade specs to ensure your pins are sharp, durable, and perfectly aligned.
- The "Clear" Advantage: Prefer PNG (transparent) or SVG. If your design has transparent areas, please specify if you want them left clear or filled with white ink in the order notes.
- HD Clarity: Minimum 300 DPI is highly recommended for pins. Because pins are viewed up close, high resolution ensures your fine lines and colors are razor-sharp.
- Pin Post "Safe Zone": Ensure your design has a solid area of at least 10mm in diameter for the pin post attachment. Avoid placing crucial details too close to the center if they can't be covered by white ink.
- Default Border Logic: We typically add a 2–3mm white or clear border to protect the print. If you want a "Full Bleed" (print to the very edge), let us know—though a small border is safer for durability.

Can I mix multiple character designs in one order?
Yes! To ensure individual proofing and dieline setup, please add each design as a separate item to your cart. Bulk pricing is calculated based on the total quantity of pins in your order, so you still get the best factory rate.
What resolution is best for acrylic pins?
Since pins are accessories worn on clothing, they are viewed up close. We recommend 300 DPI for raster files (PNG/PDF). Keep your line weight at least 0.4mm and vital details 2–3mm from the cutline for the cleanest result.
What hardware is included? Can I request double posts?
Every pin includes a metal pin post and a rubber clutch (comfortable and secure) as standard. Metal butterfly clutches are available upon request. For designs larger than 1.5", we recommend double posts to keep the pin perfectly balanced.
Why does the front of my pin look dull or scratched?
This is a common question! Each pin ships with a thin protective film on the acrylic surface to prevent scratches during assembly. Peel this film off to reveal the crystal-clear, polished finish beneath.
Can I have a clear border instead of white?
Absolutely. You can choose a white border (classic sticker-look), a clear border (shows the acrylic edge), or "Full Bleed" (ink to the edge). Please specify your preference in the order notes, and we'll show it in your digital proof.
