Brewery-Grade Material & Finish Guide

Engineered to endure the cold-chain. Our waterproof substrates ensure your brand stays secure from the bottling line to the ice bucket.

High-Gloss Vinyl (Shelf-Popping)

  • Vibrant Color Density: High-gloss finish amplifies UV-ink saturation, making IPA and Sour labels stand out in crowded retail fridges.
  • Moisture Barrier: 100% waterproof face stock. Resists "label flagging" caused by condensation and humidity.
  • High-Tack Adhesive: Aggressive permanent bond designed for cold-filled glass bottles and aluminum cans.

Beer Label Size & Fit Guide

From 12oz standard cans to custom longneck bottles, choosing the right dimensions ensures a professional, crease-free finish for your brewery's lineup.

Beer label size guide for 12oz and 16oz cans and standard beer bottles
Brewery Tip: Measure the "flat" area of your bottle or can. Avoid the tapered "shoulders" to prevent label wrinkling.
  • Standard Can Sizes: For 12oz cans, 4"×8.25" is standard for full wraps. For 16oz tallboys, 5"×8" provides excellent coverage.
  • The "Seam Gap" Rule: For full-wrap labels, we recommend a 2mm gap between the start and end of the label to ensure easy application on manual or semi-auto labelers.
  • Bottle Taper Warning: If your bottle tapers toward the neck, keep the label height within the straight "cylinder" section to avoid unsightly creasing or "winging."
  • Compliance Legibility: Ensure government warnings and ABV text are at least 7-8pt for legal readability.

Brewery Artwork & Compliance Guide

Ensure your labels are shelf-ready. We manually verify every file for legal legibility and industrial print quality.

  • File Formats: Prefer Vector (PDF, SVG, AI) for sharp legal text. High-res PNG (300 DPI) is also accepted.
  • Legal Legibility: Government Warnings, ABV, and Ingredients must be ≥ 7pt for compliance readability.
  • The "Quiet Zone": Keep critical logos and text 3mm inside the cut line to avoid edge-trimming.
  • Full Bleed: For wrap-around beer cans/bottles, extend your background art 2mm past the edge (Bleed).
  • Human Review: Our prepress artists optimize your contours and setup for automated labelers at no extra cost.

Beer Label Technical FAQ

Can I mix multiple designs or SKUs in one order?
Yes! You can mix multiple styles, ABVs, or seasonal SKUs in one order. Please add each design as a separate item in your cart so we can provide individual digital proofs. The MOQ is 100 labels per design.
How should I set up my brewery artwork files?
We accept Vector (SVG/PDF/AI) or high-res PNG (300 DPI). For wrap-around cans or bottles, we recommend a 1–2mm seam gap. Maintain a 3mm Quiet Zone inside the cut line for all critical text and logos. Our artists will send a digital proof for your approval before printing.
Which materials handle condensation and ice buckets best?
Both our Vinyl (Gloss) and Matte Vinyl are 100% waterproof and use UV-cured inks. For maximum protection against abrasion in ice buckets, we recommend adding a protective laminate. These materials are engineered for glass, aluminum, and cold-chain environments.
Can I specify core size and wind direction for my labeler?
Yes. Our standard is a 3″ core with Outside Wind. If your automated beer can labeler requires a specific orientation (Left-off, Right-off, or Inside-wind), simply leave a note at checkout—we match all industrial applicator specs.
How does the bulk brewery pricing work?
The unit price drops significantly as your volume increases. For example: 500 labels at $0.116 each, 1k at $0.087, and wholesale runs of 5k at $0.044 per label. Live pricing updates automatically in your cart.
How do I ensure the labels don't peel off cold bottles?
For the best bond, apply labels to clean, dry containers at room temperature. Once the permanent adhesive has set (about 12–24 hours), the labels will remain secure through chilling, condensation, and everyday handling in the fridge or cooler.
